Mrs. Lizzie E. Nickell, 72, died last Friday at her home in Parke County. She had been in failing health two years and seriously ill since Dec 12 when she suffered a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Wolf Creek Church near Wallace, with the Rev. Fr. Airhart of New Market officiating. Burial was in the adjacent cemetery with the Fishero Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Nickell was born Dec 5, 1875 in Parke County, daughter of Henry A. and Sarah E. Myers. On Jan 10, 1897 she was married to Sydney E. Nickell, who died 10 years ago. She was a member of the Newtown Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Von Nickell, Marshall, Ind; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Delp, Marshall, Ind and Mrs. Vida Mitchell, Wallace and two brothers, EJ and AF Myers, both of Marshall, Ind.
